Schon als Teenager fanden João Luiz und Douglas Lora während ihres Gitarrenstudiums in São Paulo zusammen. In inzwischen mehr als zehn gemeinsamen Jahren perfektionierten sie ihren Aufführungsstil, dessen mühelose Leichtigkeit Publikum und Kritik weltweit zu Begeisterungsstürmen hinreißt.
Mit einer Vielseitigkeit, die ihresgleichen sucht, bewegen sie sich gleichermaßen souverän durch die Universen der klassischen und populären Musik, deren Grenzen sie mit ihrer einzigartigen Symbiose aus musikalischer Reife, technischer Perfektion und Spontaneität wie selbstverständlich aufzuheben scheinen.

Seit ihrem Erfolg beim "Concert Artists Guild International Competition" 2006 ist das Brasil Guitar Duo regelmäßig in Spielstätten wie der New Yorker Carnegie Hall und mit Orchestern wie dem Dallas Symphony Orchestra und dem Houston Symphony Orchestra zu hören. CDs sind bei Naxos, CAG und Avie erschienen.
